I thought it would be fun to share things from my childhood with pictures. I’m sure a lot of you remember these things too.
Going to the skating rink every weekend. Although, I was more for rollerblading.

All the epic cartoons like Rugrats, Doug, Rocket Power, Hey Arnold, etc.

SNICK every Saturday night at 8 pm. I never missed it.

Riding bicycles with the other neighborhood kids.

Canoeing at the river every summer with my dad and uncle.

Tae Kwon Do. I loved when the instructors told me I was better than the boys.

I also participated in Girl Scouts.

I went to the Boys & Girls Club every summer for a few years. I loved playing jump rope and swimming.

I kicked butt at Foosball.

Girl power! Long live the Spice Girls.

The furby phenomenon. I had a black and white one.

I took plastic lunch boxes to school.

I spent a lot of time playing my Super Nintendo. Especially the Super Mario games.

Playing hand clap games, like “Miss Mary Mack”.

I was obsessed with Goosebumps.

Before CD’s, I had cassette tapes. I would also record songs off the radio.

I collected Pogs.

Troll dolls! I still love these things.

Lisa Frank school supplies were the best.

Movies were actually good.

Best. Post. Ever. I did/had just about everything on this list.
I agree with Brandy. I loved this post! Brought back lots of memories. I totally had a Barbie lunch box as a kid. That’s how I met my first best friend. lol
I had to chuckle at that last one because whether Scream was good or not is subjective.
I still have a few copies of Goosebumps books. My favourite one that has always stuck in my mind was The Haunted School. I seriously went looking for abandoned building at my school to see if there were ghost kids anywhere after reading that.
I was using Scream as an example, but movies were way better in the 90s than they are now. I am tired of all the remakes and what not. When I was a kid, there was always a movie coming out I wanted to see. Now when someone asks me to go to the movies, I decline because none of them interest me.
That’s so true! I rarely ever go to the movies any more because there’s just nothing worth seeing.
This post made me smile! I loved rollerblading as a kid, and just thinking about SNICK gets me all nostalgic. The 90s were some fun times.
OMG! I want to do this post, but I’ll have pretty much EVERYTHING you have up here! Such a cool idea for a post
I’m stealing anyway haha.
I completely agree with the last one. Movies were way better back then, especially horror films.
I forgot to say I was obsessed with Lisa Frank. All my folders and school supplies were of her work. Her unicorns were my favorite.
This is such a good idea, Iliterally had / did everything on this list!!
